In 2020, Master Rao made history by becoming Karnataka’s first World Taekwondo Level I International Coach, certified in Lausanne, Switzerland. As Head of Operations (Technical) for state championships in 2024 and 2025, and Tournament Director for CBSE South Zone II Championship, his leadership has been exemplary.

Serving as CEO of the Belagavi District Taekwondo Association (2018–2022), Master Rao ushered in a golden era of infrastructure modernisation and athlete development.
