Inside the Vision, Values, and Vital Work of the DARINGPRINCE Foundation, a Hope-Filled Response to a World in Crisis

In a world where millions of children are born into poverty, conflict, and neglect, true visionaries are those who look beyond statistics and see the untapped brilliance of every child. One such visionary is Dr. Kamal H Muhamed — a seasoned marketing specialist, acclaimed author, and unwavering humanitarian. With over 40 years of professional experience, Dr. Kamal has dedicated his life to giving forgotten children a voice, a future, and above all, a foundation for fearlessness.

At the heart of this mission is the DARINGPRINCE Foundation (DPF), a transformative initiative focused on empowering children from underprivileged communities. More than just a nonprofit, the foundation is a cultural, educational, and ethical movement that seeks to cultivate courage, compassion, and character in the youngest members of our society.

We sat down with Dr. Kamal H Muhamed to understand the heart of the mission, the soul behind the stories, and the growing impact of the DARINGPRINCE Foundation.

Q1: Dr. Kamal, what was the defining moment that led you to establish the DARINGPRINCE Foundation?

Dr. Kamal H Muhamed:
The idea of DARINGPRINCE took root from the values my late father instilled in me — values of empathy, discipline, and moral courage. My professional life exposed me to many sides of society, but what always pained me was the plight of children who were born into cycles of poverty, abuse, or neglect — not by choice, but by circumstance. I felt that real transformation had to begin with children — not just through education but through deep, value-based development. DARINGPRINCE is my life’s offering to that cause.

Q2: The name “DARINGPRINCE” is quite distinctive. What philosophy does it embody?

Dr. Kamal H Muhamed:
The name is intentional. “DARING” stands for boldness, audacity, and courage in the face of adversity. “PRINCE” symbolizes dignity, purpose, and leadership. Together, DARINGPRINCE represents every child’s potential to rise with elegance, lead with empathy, and overcome life’s trials with fearlessness. It is a tribute to the idea that nobility is not born — it is nurtured.

Q3: Why focus on children aged 5 to 15?

Dr. Kamal H Muhamed:
This age group is the emotional and psychological foundation of a person’s life. Between ages 5 to 15, a child develops their worldview, values, habits, and emotional resilience. Our foundation steps in during these critical years to ensure that no child falls through the cracks — academically, emotionally, socially, or morally. We don’t just build children who know — we build children who understand, feel, and lead.

Q4: What are the core areas of intervention at the DARINGPRINCE Foundation?

Dr. Kamal H Muhamed:
Our approach is holistic. We work across multiple domains that are often neglected in mainstream education, including:

  • Drug Abuse Prevention

  • Anti-Corruption Awareness

  • Combating Anti-Social Behavior

  • Responsible Technology Usage

  • Life Skills and Value Education

  • Emotional Intelligence Training

  • Health and Hygiene Awareness

  • Academic and Resource Support

We don’t stop at education — we create ethically aware, emotionally mature, socially responsible future leaders. We also focus on reducing dependency on guardians by cultivating early self-reliance and decision-making skills.

Q5: How does the foundation contribute to global missions like the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?

Dr. Kamal H Muhamed:
The DARINGPRINCE Foundation is deeply aligned with the SDGs, especially Goals 3 (Good Health), 4 (Quality Education), 10 (Reduced Inequality), and 16 (Peace and Justice). We actively design our interventions to address these objectives at a grassroots level. But beyond policy alignment, our goal is impact alignment — ensuring that every child we touch moves closer to dignity, justice, and opportunity.

Q6: Technology addiction among children is a growing concern. How is DPF tackling this issue?

Dr. Kamal H Muhamed:
We cannot ignore technology — but we must reframe its use. At DPF, we teach children digital literacy alongside digital responsibility. Our workshops teach children and parents how to balance screen time with creativity, physical activity, and real-life interactions. We encourage the use of tech for learning, but not at the cost of emotional health or social skills.

Q7: How do you inculcate values like courage, compassion, and culture in children?

Dr. Kamal H Muhamed:
We believe in experiential learning. Children participate in storytelling, theatre, community service, group discussions, and cultural immersion. We organize role-playing sessions where they act out moral dilemmas and explore solutions. These tools help children not only understand ethical choices but feel their weight. We build not just good students — we build good citizens.

Q8: Tell us more about your autobiography, “Daring Prince.” How does it relate to your mission?

Dr. Kamal H Muhamed:
Daring Prince” is a personal account of my own struggles, transformation, and awakening to service. It traces the life lessons that led to the foundation’s birth. The book is a bridge between my personal journey and the public mission. All royalties are directed to the foundation. It’s currently available in English and Malayalam, with upcoming translations in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Arabic, French, and Amharic, making it a global call to action.

Q9: Could you share one moment from this journey that deeply moved you?

Dr. Kamal H Muhamed:
There was a young boy once involved in street theft and gang behavior. Through our interventions, he transformed — not just behaviorally, but spiritually. Today, he is a respected class monitor, guiding his peers and helping others stay away from negative influences. That single story is a universe of hope for me. It proves that with the right care, the most broken child can become the bravest leader.

Q10: How can individuals, corporates, and institutions support or join DARINGPRINCE Foundation?

Dr. Kamal H Muhamed:
Everyone has a role to play. Whether you’re a teacher, psychologist, social worker, student, CSR manager, or someone who simply believes in making a difference — we welcome you. We need mentors, volunteers, donors, storytellers, trainers, and kind souls. For now, people can reach us at:

Q11: You recently took up a role at the National Education Forum (NEF). Could you share more about that?

Dr. Kamal H Muhamed:
Yes, I’ve recently been appointed as the National Chief Co-ordinator on Network & Development of Projects with NEF, an autonomous body under the Government of India. This role allows me to align the foundation’s grassroots work with national-level education reform initiatives and scale our impact to a larger demographic.

Q12: What is your final message to our readers, especially the youth and leaders of tomorrow?

Dr. Kamal H Muhamed:
My message is simple but urgent: Start with the children. If we want a world that’s honest, kind, progressive, and just — we must invest in the values, minds, and hearts of children. Let us raise a generation that doesn’t fear change — but becomes the change. Let us nurture not just skills, but souls. Because the real future is being shaped not in offices or parliaments — but in playgrounds, classrooms, and every child’s heart.

Closing Note

The DARINGPRINCE Foundation is not just a charitable entity — it is a living philosophy, a commitment to raising not just literate children, but ethical, fearless, and future-ready citizens. At its core stands Dr. Kamal H Muhamed — a man whose compassion has found expression in action, whose leadership has transformed lives, and whose voice continues to rise above the noise — speaking for those too young to speak for themselves.

As his story unfolds and the foundation’s impact expands, one truth remains clear: When courage meets compassion, transformation is inevitable.
