Tejashwi Yadav Dismisses Foreign Nationals in Bihar Voter List Claims as “Nonsense”

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has vehemently denied claims that the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists has uncovered the names of individuals from Bangladesh, Nepal, and Myanmar. On Sunday, Mr. Yadav questioned the credibility of the sources behind these allegations, drawing a parallel to unfounded rumors about the capture of major Pakistani cities.

Yadav Questions Credibility of Sources

“Who are these sources?” Yadav asked. He went on to compare the reliability of these sources to those who spread misinformation about international conflicts, stating, “These are the same sources that said Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore have been captured.”

“We Consider These Sources Nonsense”

Dismissing the claims outright, Mr. Yadav firmly stated, “We consider these sources to be nonsense,” using the Hindi phrase, “Ye sootra ko hum mootra samajhte hai,” which translates to a more colloquial and dismissive tone in English. His strong response underscores the RJD’s stance against what they perceive as misinformation being circulated regarding the integrity of Bihar’s voter lists.
