Rishabh Pant Praises Jasprit Bumrah’s Brilliance: “He’s Just Amazing”
Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant had nothing but praise for his teammate, pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah, during a recent press conference. On the eve of the third Test between India and England at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground, a reporter asked Pant what makes Bumrah such a special bowler.
Pant’s Heartfelt One-Word Tribute
Pant’s initial response was simple yet powerful: “Everything.” He then elaborated on his admiration for Bumrah, highlighting his incredible accuracy and the unique way his mind works. “How accurate he is, the way his mind works, I think he is just an amazing man,” Pant stated.
A Wicketkeeper’s Perspective
Pant, speaking from his experience behind the stumps, explained the challenges Bumrah poses to batsmen, especially in English conditions. He even suggested that facing Bumrah’s deliveries is more difficult for the wicketkeeper than the batsman due to the late movement the ball generates. “It’s more difficult for the wicket-keeper behind the wicket than for a batsman, I guess. Especially in England (the movement he gets),” he added.
