Navi Mumbai Airport Soars to 94% Completion: Fadnavis & Shinde Review Progress

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, accompanied by Jeet Adani, recently visited the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) to assess the progress of this highly anticipated infrastructure project.

Following their inspection, Mr. Fadnavis and Mr. Shinde chaired a meeting with senior officials to delve into the details of the ongoing construction. The Chief Minister announced the encouraging news that the project is now 94% complete, marking a significant milestone in its development.

NMIA Poised to Become a Major Aviation Hub

The Navi Mumbai airport project is planned in multiple phases, ultimately aiming to accommodate over 90 million passengers annually. In its initial phase, the NMIA is expected to handle 20 million passengers, significantly boosting the region’s connectivity and economic prospects. This ambitious project underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and catering to the growing demands of air travel.

Future Expansion to Accommodate 90 Million Passengers

As the airport expands in subsequent phases, it will eventually reach its full capacity of 90 million passengers per year, solidifying its position as a major aviation hub in India and contributing significantly to the nation’s economic growth.
