Siddaramaiah Quashes Karnataka Power Struggle Rumors: “No Vacancy for CM”

Amidst swirling speculation about a power struggle within Karnataka’s ruling Congress party, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah delivered a clear message on Thursday: his position is secure.

Siddaramaiah Denies “50-50” Power-Sharing Deal

Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Siddaramaiah firmly rejected the notion of a “50-50” power-sharing agreement with his deputy, DK Shivakumar. He emphasized that Shivakumar himself acknowledged there was no vacancy for the Chief Minister’s post. “I am the Chief Minister of Karnataka… I am sitting here,” Siddaramaiah stated, adding pointedly, “There is no vacancy for a Chief Minister in Karnataka.”

CM’s Statement Aims to Stabilize Political Landscape

This unequivocal declaration comes after recent reports of tensions between the two leaders reaching the Congress high command in Delhi. Siddaramaiah’s strong statement appears aimed at putting an end to the speculation and reinforcing his authority as the state’s leader.
