Himachal Students Show Incredible Bravery During Cloudburst Rescue

Amidst the devastation caused by a recent cloudburst in Thunag, Himachal Pradesh, a heartwarming story of courage and resilience has emerged. Around 150 people, including students and professors from the Horticultural College, were stranded after the disaster. Among them were two pregnant professors.

Students Create Makeshift Palanquin for Pregnant Professors

Displaying extraordinary resourcefulness and compassion, the students, including 80 young women, fashioned a makeshift palanquin using chairs. They then carried their pregnant professors on this improvised stretcher, trekking 11 kilometers to safety.
