Gujarat Bridge Tragedy: 9 Lives Lost in Vadodara Bridge Collapse

A heartbreaking incident unfolded Wednesday morning in Vadodara, Gujarat, as the Gambhira-Mujpur bridge in Padra taluka suddenly collapsed during the peak morning commute. The bridge, a vital connection between the Anand and Vadodara districts, crumbled, sending vehicles plummeting into the Mahisagar (Mahi) River below. This devastating tragedy has claimed the lives of nine people, leaving a community in mourning.

Bridge Collapse During Rush Hour Leads to Fatalities

The bridge gave way during the busiest time of the morning, catching many commuters unaware. The sudden collapse resulted in the tragic loss of nine lives. Three others sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical attention.

Four Vehicles Plunge into River

According to initial reports, four vehicles were on the bridge at the time of the collapse. Two trucks, a Bolero SUV, and a pickup van were tragically swept into the river below along with the falling debris. Rescue efforts are underway to recover the vehicles and provide support to the affected families.
