Delhi University Student Found Deceased in Yamuna River After Six-Day Search

The Delhi community is mourning the loss of 19-year-old Sneha Debnath, a Delhi University student who was tragically found deceased in the Yamuna River after being missing for six days. Sneha, originally from Tripura, was reported missing on July 7th after taking a cab to North Delhi’s Signature Bridge.

Family’s Heartbreak as Search Ends in Tragedy

Sneha’s family, who had been desperately searching for her since her disappearance, identified her body. The news has brought immense grief to her loved ones, who traveled from Tripura in hopes of finding her safe.

Police Investigate Circumstances Surrounding Sneha’s Death

Authorities have confirmed that a handwritten note, indicating a possible intent to die by suicide, was left by Sneha. While police sources suggest her studies were not a contributing factor, they believe the reasons behind her distress were related to family matters. A post-mortem examination has been conducted to determine the official cause of death. The police are continuing their investigation.
