BJP Leader Surendra Kewat Shot Dead in Patna, Adding to City’s Growing Unease

Patna is reeling from another shocking incident of violence. Just a week after the murder of prominent businessman Gopal Khemka, BJP leader Surendra Kewat has been shot dead. This latest tragedy has further heightened anxieties in the Bihar capital.

Two Bike-Borne Assailants Attack in Sheikpura

52-year-old Surendra Kewat was attacked by two men on a motorcycle in Sheikpura. They fired multiple shots, inflicting four bullet injuries on Mr. Kewat before fleeing the scene. He was rushed to AIIMS in Patna, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Local Leaders Offer Condolences and Demand Swift Action

MLA Gopal Ravidas and former Minister Shyam Rajak visited the hospital to offer condolences to Mr. Kewat’s family. They urged the hospital administration to expedite the necessary formalities. Police have launched an investigation, forensic teams are on the scene, and raids are underway to apprehend the culprits.
