Air India AI171 Crash: Preliminary Report Released, Final Report Pending

Following the release of the preliminary report on the Air India AI171 crash last month, Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu addressed the public on Saturday, urging everyone to avoid premature conclusions. The Ahmedabad-London flight tragically crashed, and the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is conducting a thorough investigation.

Minister Highlights Importance of Awaiting Final Report

The minister stressed the importance of patience and due process. He emphasized the dedication and skill of India’s pilots and crew, calling them “the backbone of civil aviation” and expressing his appreciation for their efforts. He cautioned against drawing conclusions based on the preliminary findings, reminding everyone that the final report would provide a more comprehensive understanding of the incident.

“We have the most wonderful workforce of pilots and crew in the whole world,” Minister Naidu stated, reinforcing his confidence in their capabilities. He also highlighted the importance of their well-being, assuring the public that their welfare is a priority. He reiterated the need to wait for the final report from the AAIB before making any judgements about the cause of the AI171 crash.
