Minto Bridge Beats the Monsoon: No Waterlogging This Year!

Delhi residents can breathe a sigh of relief. The infamous Minto Bridge underpass, notorious for its monsoon flooding, has stayed dry this season. PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma shared a video as proof of the improved situation.

Minister Shares Video Evidence of Dry Underpass

On Wednesday, Minister Verma personally visited Minto Bridge, a frequent chokepoint during heavy rains. He recorded a video showcasing the underpass free from waterlogging, aiming to demonstrate the effectiveness of recent flood prevention measures.

A Sign of Improved Civic Preparedness?

The video, shared by the minister, seems to indicate a positive change in Delhi’s monsoon preparedness. Previously, the underpass was prone to severe waterlogging, causing significant traffic disruptions and inconvenience for commuters. This dry spell suggests that the government’s efforts to address the issue have been successful.
