Russian Family Found Living in Precarious Gokarna Cave
In a surprising discovery, a Russian mother and her two young daughters were found living in a remote and potentially dangerous cave on Ramatirtha Hill in Gokarna, Karnataka, India. The family’s unusual living situation came to light during a routine police patrol.
Police Discover Family During Safety Patrol
On July 9th, around 5:00 PM, Inspector Sridhar SR and his team from the Gokarna Police Station were patrolling the Ramatirtha Hill area, a popular tourist destination. Their primary focus was ensuring the safety of visitors. While combing through the forested area, they noticed movement near a cave situated in a hazardous, landslide-prone zone.
Inside the Makeshift Cave Dwelling
Upon closer investigation, the police discovered 40-year-old Nina Kutina, a Russian national, residing inside the cave with her two daughters, 6-year-old Prema and 4-year-old Ama. The family had created a makeshift dwelling within the cave.
