26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks: Tahawwur Rana’s Custody Extended

The custody of Tahawwur Rana, a key figure linked to the devastating 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, has been extended until August 13th. This decision comes after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed a supplementary charge sheet against him.

New Evidence Presented Against Rana

The NIA’s latest charge sheet builds upon the initial one filed back in 2012. It includes critical documents such as Rana’s arrest memo, seizure memos, and other evidentiary materials that further implicate him in the attacks. This extension allows authorities more time to thoroughly investigate the complex case and pursue justice for the victims.

A Reminder of the 2008 Tragedy

The 2008 Mumbai attacks were a series of coordinated shooting and bombing attacks across Mumbai, lasting four days and claiming the lives of 166 people, and injuring hundreds more. The attacks left a deep scar on India and the international community.
