Perez said that early reports were of the man, whose identity has not been released, walking into the lobby with an American flag yelling about President Donald Trump — but that has not been confirmed by investigators.
Trump’s son Eric thanked police in a tweet Friday morning.

Perez would not confirm if the man was a guest at the resort, which was purchased by the Trump Organization in 2012.
Miami-Dade police are leading the investigation with officials from Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Homeland Security and the Secret Service on the scene and the FBI on their way.
